Roero Arneis DOCG Cortine

A truly unique wine. Fresh and perfect for everyday drinking, yet capable of offering pleasant surprises even after a few years in the bottle.
A very old grape variety that had almost completely disappeared by the 1970s.
It is interesting to note that in the past it was also known as “white Nebbiolo”. There were two reasons for this. First of all, it was planted among the rows of Nebbiolo because its grapes, which were sweeter and more fragrant, attracted birds, “distracting” them from the Nebbiolo, which was considered more valuable. Secondly, because, historically, small quantities of Arneis were added to Nebbiolo to make it smoother and more fragrant.
