Barolo DOCG Sottocastello di Novello
This Barolo comes from grapes harvested from the single plot that is in the Geographical Mention (MGA) Sottocastello di Novello, in the homonymous municipality within the DOCG of Barolo. A scenic area along the southern border of the appellation, overlooking the hills of the Alta Langa and the plains that lead to the Alps.
A very bright, ventilated and particularly steep area. Barolo di Sottocastello di Novello is generally an example of elegance and balance and this is no exception.

Varietal composition: 100% Nebbiolo
Harvest period: mid-October
Vinification and ageing: crushing of the grapes, fermentation and maceration in stainless steel.
The wine evolves for at least 18 months in small oak barrels. Several months follow in bottles stored horizontally in underground cellars.
Alcohol: 14 – 14,5%
Colour: garnet red with orange highlights
Nose: red fruits aromas, dried fruits and balsamic notes.
Taste: full-bodied, with great tannins and excellent aromatic finish.
Food pairings: structured red meats and medium-aged and mature cheeses.
