Located on the hills of San Rocco Seno d’Elvio, in Alba, this vineyard faces from south to east at an altitude of around 200 metres.
The mainly marly soil is suitable for producing delicate wines, which is why it is entirely planted with the Dolcetto variety. Its name meaning ‘flight of steps’ comes from the steepness of its slopes. Each year during the harvest here the very best grapes are selected for the production of Dolcetto d’Alba DOC “Scaletta”.
